There is a variety of options available in the market when it comes to lip balms. One can get it at every price and fragrance. In fact, we are been using vaseline as a lip balm for ages and it works perfectly fine.
Today I will be reviewing Laniege’s lip sleeping mask on my blog. This lip balm has a huge following too. Right from the celebrities to the influencers, it has been on everyone’s favourite list.
I have used its two variants for two years now- Berry(pink) and Pear(green). In all the variants available, there is just flavour and colour difference, nothing else.
The brand Laniege is based in South Korea. The lip mask comes in both travel and full-size product. It comes in four variants- berry, mint choco, grapefruit and apple lime.
The travel size product(8gms) retails for 500 rupees and the full-size product(20gms) comes for 1150 rupees. The travel-size lip mask comes without a spatula while the full-size lip balm comes with a spatula.
The company claims to have a patent moisture technology that melts down the dead lip skin and reveals smooth and moisturized lips.
The company mentions the mask to be applied in a thick layer and should be left the whole night. Then it is to be removed the next morning for smooth lips.
But I would suggest using this overnight method of applying a mask only when your lips feel dry and flaky. For daily use, apply it just like another lip balm.
The travel size lip mask comes in a plastic tub while the full size comes in a acrylic tub. The lip mask comes in a cardboard outer box.
I had a habit of eating and licking my lips. Nothing helped my flaky lips. Though they helped me in preventing licking for a few minutes but did not help my dry lips.
Then I thought of trying this Laneige lip sleeping mask which was on my luxury list for so long. I ordered the travel-size lip mask in the berry variant.
First thing first, the fragrance is everything. The berry variant just smells like bubblegum. The lip mask is glossy and hydrating. It helped me in improving the lip condition really well. I enjoyed using it.
Then I got married and was planning to buy full size of Laneige lip sleeping mask, but this time I wanted to have it in another fragrance.
So I chose to go with apple lime variant. I ordered full size one and got a spatula with it. The fragrance is that of a green apple one and the same thick buttery texture.
Girls if you have a budget and want to splurge on a good lip balm then go for the laneige lip balm. It offers what it promises.
A good and moisturizing lip balm which when applied is going to treat your lips for sure. Your lips are going to feel smooth.
The only downside I feel is that it does not offer spf variant which is going to give an added advantage.
